Marie Zezůlková, Director of National Center for Energy Savings, focuses on the topic Towns and villages 2030

We are witnessing great acceleration of the  technological development of the society.  At the same time, however, cities and municipalities still have a historical loss in basic infrastructure, such as transport, amenities, etc. Modern technologies across the whole society, from business to household, are permeating this. Social demand forces the public sphere to change the functioning of cities and municipalities. The success of their further development will be decided by the chosen technology platform. This applies, for example, to the energy economy of towns and municipalities.

It will not be important to buy electricity or heat, the society will require user comfort, ecological operation and minimum price. This change of management will come with the generation of millennials who will begin to shape the thinking of a new generation of towns and cities in the next decade.
