News in the climate and energy policies to be presented at ENERGO SUMMIT by Mr. Pavel Zámyslický from the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic

In his speech entitled “News in the Climate and Energy Policies” he will deal with current development especially with regard to the legislation which is negotiated or has been recently approved at the EU level and is to be implemented in the Czech Republic. It will then influence also the development of the Czech energy policy and the contribution of the Czech Republic to the EU objectives till 2030. Pavel Zámyslický has completed his studies in the branch of heavy-current electrotechnics and power engineering at the Brno University of Technology and then in the field of economy and power engineering management at the Czech Technical University in Prague, where he completed his doctor studies successfully in 2013. In his theses as well as dissertation he was dealing with various links between emission trading and capital expenditures in the sector of power engineering. Since 2005 he has been working at the Ministry of the Environment, where he has been in the post of Director of the Energy and Climate Protection Department since 2007. On a professional basis he deals with domestic as well as European climate and energy policies and their tools. In particular, for example trading in emissions allowances in the EU ETS. He represents the Czech Republic during negotiations relating to various regulations and legislation at the EU level as well as within the framework of the United Nations.
